Athletes develop best when their training has purpose.
As a player growing up in Brooklyn, I spent years doing what most athletes are taught to do — show up, work hard, trust the process, and compete.
As I continued competing at higher levels of baseball — from helping Midwood High School win its first PSAL championship to eventually playing Division I baseball at Stetson University — I began to realize how much long-term development depends on more than talent and hard work alone.
Some of the most important lessons came later in my playing career through failure, adjustment, reflection, and years of trial and error. I began to understand why certain routines mattered, how habits compound over time, and which parts of training truly carry over when the game speeds up and pressure sets in.
That perspective eventually became the foundation for CardiTraining.
Too many athletes work hard without ever being taught how to truly develop. They're given instruction, but not always understanding. They're told what to do, but not how to think through the game for themselves, stay adjustable when something stops working, or build routines with real intention behind them.
My goal is to help athletes learn those lessons earlier.
Especially for catchers, success goes far beyond physical ability. Leadership, communication, preparation, attention to detail, and the ability to stay composed under pressure are what separate talented players from the athletes a team truly depends on.
That's the standard we coach toward every day.
At CardiTraining, we believe great coaching should develop more than mechanics. We want athletes to become confident communicators, problem-solvers, dependable teammates, and leaders within their communities — on the field and away from it.
Every athlete is different. Our job is to meet them where they are, understand how they learn, and help them build the habits, mindset, and confidence needed to reach their potential.
